We're getting married!

Preston and Meghan met on the evening of March 24th, 2017 in Arlington, VA during March Madness. After graduating from The University of Alabama almost a year before Meghan settled in Northern Virginia, and moved in with her sorority sister/bestie Sami Papie. Preston was living in Memphis, TN at the time and his job required him to travel frequently to visit clients. On that Friday night, Meghan and Sami decided to go to Whitlows on Wilson, a popular rooftop bar in Arlington for drinks. There weren’t any open seats when they entered but fatefully Sami spotted two people get up from the bar. Meghan ended up sitting down right next to Preston. Preston had traveled to DC for business at the National Harbor. His flight out of town got canceled so he spent the extra night going out with his Catholic High friend and Arkansas SAE brother Jackson Blair who also lived in Arlington. When Meghan sat down Preston started talking obnoxiously loud on the phone to his Uncle Drew. Meghan immediately sensed Preston was going to try to use this to talk to her. After Preston got off the phone he turned to Meghan to apologize for being sooo loud. Meghan and Preson bonded over their jobs in the construction industry, their love for the SEC, and their March Madness brackets. Within hours of meeting each other Preston took Meghan to dinner at Circa and then afterwards Meghan hustled Preston in a game of pool at Spider Kelly’s. Not long after they met Preston promised Meghan if she ever flew to Memphis to visit him he would marry her. 5 years later and he is finally making good on his promise.

Preston proposed to Meghan at the top of Dercum Mountain in Keystone, CO. The weather was absolutely perfect that afternoon. After an emotional “yes” Meghan was shocked to see a few of their best friends had made the trip to share in their experience. The group spent the rest of the evening soaking it all in, and enjoying a celebratory dinner at the Keystone Ranch with wine and drinks provided by friends and family who called in orders for them. Little did they know when they were eating dinner at the Keystone Ranch it would also be the site of their wedding exactly 1 year later!
