Yes, The Monastery Event Center has plenty of free parking for our guests. There are lots located on either side of the building - the side of the building with the courtyard has a handicap-accessible ramp to enter the building. Upon guest arrival, a Monastery attendant will be stationed at the top of Pavilion Street & St. Paul intersection to direct guests. Plus, personalized signage at St. Gregory & Pavilion will be included to direct guests to the property’s private parking. You can also easily access the building from your location by Uber or Lyft. The driving distance between the Monastery and our hotel block is less than 10 minutes.
We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting black-tie preferred - ladies should wear a floor-length gown or fancy cocktail dress. Men have the option of wearing a tuxedo, or they can wear a formal dark suit and tie.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. We respectfully request that you only bring children that are included on your invitation.
Our ceremony will take place indoors. We will then move outdoors for a 45-minute cocktail hour which will be under a heated tent or fully outdoors depending on the weather that day. We will then move back inside for an indoor formal reception, dinner, and dancing!
The weather at this time of year could vary. The average high temperature in Cincinnati in November is 55 degrees and the average low is 35 degrees. Please bring a jacket, as our cocktail hour will be outside, most likely under a heated tent.
We understand that not everyone feels comfortable traveling and that life is hectic sometimes, you will truly be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
Yes, the Monastery Event Center has a wheelchair ramp on the left side of the building next to the courtyard. There are also no stairs in the venue so the bathrooms are easily accessible.
YES! Although we do request you refrain from taking photos during our ceremony, we would love for you to share any and all photos from after the ceremony, the cocktail hour, or the reception. If you are interested in using our hashtag you can use #meggieandmattaregettingmurphyd
There will be a welcome party for all of our out of town guests Thursday evening! We are excited to have our wedding on a Friday so that you have time to explore our city and so that we can spend more time with everyone through the rest of the weekend!
We would be happy to provide you a special meal to accommodate your dietary restructions. Please make sure to check off the vegetarian option on your RSVP card and list any special diet restrictions beneath.
