Is there a dress code?

Answer

If you know Meggan, you know she loves an excuse to dress up! The dress code for the evening is Black-Tie Optional. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or suit and tie. For women, floor-length evening gowns are encouraged, but mid-length dresses are also appropriate. Feel free to wear any color besides shades of white. The bridesmaids will be in a light dusty blue. What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4pm. Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony begins - no later than 3:45pm. Since it is a Friday afternoon downtown Chicago, please plan accordingly for traffic. Note: The State St bridge is closed for repairs, causing further traffic delays

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes. Transportation will be provided between Holy Name Cathedral and the Union League Club via a shuttle and Lyft code. Please see our travel page for more details.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding is an adults only occasion. If you're traveling in from out-of-state and would like to bring your children for the weekend, we would be happy to recommend childcare for the evening. We would love to see your kids at the day-after pickleball event!

Is there a gap between ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

A very small one :) We recommend heading directly over to the Union League Club after the ceremony. If you happen to get there before cocktail hour officially begins, you can grab a drink at the bar on the 4th floor of the Club.
