Meggan and Jude first laid eyes on each other in 2017 while visiting mutual friend & groomsman, David, for a summer weekend in Chicago. When Jude left that weekend, Meggan inquired with David about Jude's relationship status and was sad to hear he was taken. Fast forward 2 years later, they were back in Chicago - this time, single and ready to mingle. After hitting it off, they stayed in touch despite Meggan living in Chicago and Jude in Cincinnati. Jude seemed to find himself with more and more reasons to visit Chicago. Finally towards the end of that summer, Jude gathered up the courage to invite her to visit Cincinnati where they officially started dating. They were eager to end the long distance, and Jude made the decision to move back to Chicago in 2020 where they have continued to build on their love for good food, good friends and each other.

She was onto him from the start! After shopping for rings together, it was impossible for Jude to plan anything without raising suspicion. Eventually he called in their good friends Max & Tricia to plan a double date as a ruse. Unfortunately, Meggan quickly discovered that the restaurant their "date" was supposed to be at wasn't open at the time of their plans. When the big day arrived, they made their way to Lincoln Park where Jude proposed on the bridge overlooking the skyline and Meggan said yes! The two then made their way to Cabra, their favorite restaurant in the city, for celebratory drinks. The surprises weren't over yet, though...when they got back to their apartment building, Jude had arranged for friends and family to be there as a final surprise to celebrate their engagement. It was an incredible night surrounded by so much love!
