FYI - It is really common for flights to arrive and depart from Anchorage in the middle of the night.

GETTING HERE

Renting a vehicle will be the easiest mode of transportation to Girdwood and Hope. From the Anchorage airport, take the Seward Hwy South - Route 1. Girdwood is about 35 miles (45 mins) and Hope is another 25 miles past Girdwood (additional 45 mins). The drive is beautiful along the turnagain arm to Girdwood. Once you pass Girdwood, you will continue driving along the water for a bit until you go up and over Turnagain Pass.
