Napa is around 1.5 hours north of San Francisco, and definitely lives up to its reputation. Enjoy lots of wine tasting, delicious restaurants, and quaint but classy shops.

15 minutes from the Sequoia Retreat Center. You can take an old steam train through the redwoods, or a diesel locomotive straight to the beach & boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Great for kids.
