There are endless outdoor activities to do this time of year. Mountain biking - beginners can cruise down easy gravel roads, pros can send it on the advanced trails (bike and gear rentals available in the village). Hiking - up Vail mountain to Eagle's Nest for lunch or take surrounding trails to waterfalls and alpine lakes. Booth Falls, Pitkin Lake, and Bighorn Creek are some of our favorites and all stops on the local bus system. Golf - Vail Golf Club, Eagle-Vail Golf Club and Beaver Creek Golf Club are all easily accessible and world class courses. Fly Fishing - guided tours right outside the front door. Check out Gore Creek Fly Fisherman or Vail Valley Anglers.
The Vail Farmers Market has an incredible array of food, art, live music and Bernese Mountain dogs. There is a smaller "Meadow Market" on Thursday evenings from 4-7pm, and a larger event on Sundays 9:30am-3:30pm. Great option for Thursday arrival activity or before heading out on Sunday.
