Man of Honor

In Ryan's words: Making his way from the University of Michigan to Denver, Colorado, here is the big friendly giant ginger, or as Megan likes to refer to him, the baby giraffe. Freshly escaped from the Denver Zoo to come to Traverse City in September, he promised to make sure the groom doesn't have to reach all the tall things at the wedding. In all seriousness, Ryan really appreciates the sugar and spice of the bride, who always knows how to liven up a party with her colorful commentary and warm presence. He is ready to ride of die this September with the bride squad until holy matrimony has come to fruition. In Megan's words: Ryan has been a best friend and brother for over 10 years (really ever since I corned him into coming to Build A Bear Workshop freshman year), you would be hard pressed to find someone who is able to moonlight as Batman while being an amazing doctor.

Anna is a fun-loving nerd, with a passion for video games, animated movies, hockey, baking, and nature. She has everything in her purse for emergencies (so if you need something, just ask!), and will be able to answer any Disney question. When Anna met Megan in that PF Changs, she knew that Megan and Mark (her long time friend) were gonna be a long lasting couple.

In Ally's words: Ally is a long time friend of Megan and has been around since the high school days. Ally and Megan have stayed in touch over the years and have shared many visits when Mark and Megan National Lampoon road trip across the Americas to Michigan. Ally currently resides in Michigan with her dog Davey. In Megan's words: Ally has been a rock solid friend since 2007 when she and Megan met in AP Comp and kept the literary critiques coming the following year in AP Literature (their commentary on A River Runs Through It- genius). From pet adoptions to rum raids, Ally has had front row seats to Megan and Mark's life and really could be a matchmaker/wedding planner tonight considering how she helped coordinate the engagement and picked out the ring. Ally is a dear friend to bride and groom alike

Hi, I’m Steven and I am an excitable dork who enjoys the outdoors, home bartending, playing the piano, all things animation, chilling with my cat, and much more. I’m originally from Staten Island, NY and I now reside in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire. I met Mark in high school during freshman Spanish, and we have been best buds ever since. I’m very excited for the wedding, and I wish Mark and Megan only the best!

Lilliane Webb

In Lilly's words: "Fate intertwined Megan and Lilliane's stories. First meeting when they were teens bound for the University of Michigan, Megan and Lilliane would travel to Peru together a year later and remain close friends ever since. Nicknamed each other's "soulmate", the two were roommates during their senior year of college. Lilliane and Megan continue to visit each other in their respective cities when possible. Naturally, Mark is a welcome addition to the visits and Facebook calls. Lilliane currently resides in Ann Arbor, MI and works in public transportation." In Megan's words: Seriously, Lilly has been in my phone as "Soulmate" for over a decade and she'll be in there for decades more to come. Lilly has always been a friend who has pushed those around her to excel and is incredibly driven but thoughtful. She also is a champion on the dancefloor.

Despite this, he's genuinely one of the most kindest and thoughtful people I ever met. Megan is a great person that is passionate and caring. In Jessie's own words: "We met during our sophomore year at U of M when we lived in the same flood of the dorms. I think we bonded at first because we were in 2 of the 3 rooms that had sophomores on the floor and we were way outnumbered by freshmen. Then once you get to know Megan, you can't help but want to be around her as she always makes you laugh. I have so many memories with Megan! Some are just attending the Michigan games together and finding someone that yelled at the game more than me! Others are just when I hung out with Megan in her room/my second dorm room/ the bat cave and always felt welcome and where I probably always walked away laughing from. One of my latest favorite memories is when Megan introduced us to Mark. I was so happy she found someone that deserved her! In Megan's words: Jessie is the kindest math wizard you will ever encounter. Many a night in college Jessie took time from her own busy schedule to patiently explain some basic calculus to me. I had the privilege of officiating Jessie and Scott's wedding in 2020 and they are one of the most wholesome, supportive, and loving couples that Mark and I have ever met. Their son is also a major cutie as well.

David has known Mark from high school, mostly because of playing Yu-Gi-Oh! during and after school. Since then, they have been long time friends bonding through a multitude of games like Pokemon and Dungeons and Dragons. After being introduced to Megan, they became fast friends as they share similar interests in anime and games, especially Overwatch.

Dorothy Franklin

In Dorothy's words: In Megan's words: Dorothy is such a level headed and compassionate person. We met doing a year of AmeriCorps service in 2015 and have stayed in touch ever since. When you're feeling overwhelmed or lost, know that Dorothy believes in you- and that belief is the motivation that you need to get past the next step. Dorothy and Megan have had many adventures in New York and Maryland with ink, Pokemon, and books; I hope we continue to have them with families.

Simon is a sweet and caring person who loves DDR, video games, and his family. He has known Mark since the first day of college where they helped each other grow as people and in physics class. Simon knew when he met Megan at sushi buffet that she was great fit for Mark to be with forever.

Dr. Emily Tuchman

In Emily's words: Emily met Megan in 2011 at the University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS) and since then they have spent many summers together at UMBS, living together in a 10 by 10 foot tin cabin. Emily currently lives in Chicago and works as a doctor of internal medicine. In Megan's words: Tux and I have had some many adventures since we met at UMBS, we actually have several quote lists that contain snippets of those adventures. By Amtrack and by Car, we've kept in touch and have always made a point to visit one another. Tux is so warm, she has a way of drawing people in and making them feel comfortable and a part of the family- I'm lucky to be in her orbit!
