Like many modern love stories, ours began with a simple first date that turned into something neither of us expected. From the moment we met, conversation came easy and the connection felt natural. We met at Blue Bat Kitchen, then headed to rooftop drinks at The Outsider, where hours passed filled with laughter and easy conversation. From that very first night, we both had a feeling something special had begun. In the weeks that followed, we spent our time on lakeshore walks, trying new restaurants, and lingering over cozy coffee dates as our lives naturally began to intertwine. Before long, we were meeting each other’s families and making the most of summer—traveling to Megan’s family cabin in Birchwood and spending time in Door County with Evan’s family. With each trip, we created meaningful memories and grew more certain that we had found something lasting. Our journey has taken us on many adventures—from living in Colorado and completing graduate degrees to building a home together in Door County. Through it all, we’ve continued choosing each other, and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter side by side.
