Our Story Mackenzie & Meg met for the first time in September of 2015 at The Hartt School at The University of Hartford in Hartford, CT. Mackenzie was starting her senior year as a Musical Theatre major, and Meghan was just starting her freshman year on the same path. In the beginning of the school year, Mackenzie's class was gearing up to fundraise for their senior showcase in NYC in March - and what better way to fundraise than to throw house parties every weekend, charging $5 admission at the door? While most other freshmen were eager to have fun and socialize with their other classmates at these parties, Meghan often found herself sitting on the front steps with Mackenzie, "helping her" collect the admission charge as people arrived. Meg & Mack developed a friendship (ok, MAYBE a small crush...) while people-watching at the parties and chatting about their favorite pumpkin beers. After one semester at Hartt, Meg came to the conclusion that she was in fact NOT a dancer, and ultimately decided to transfer to Wagner College to pursue a career in Arts Administration. Although they continued to follow each other on social media, they didn't talk for four years. Meg was interning for Broadway managerial offices while balancing her course load, and Mackenzie was auditioning in NYC and touring the country in The Sound of Music National Tour. And all it took was one fateful message on Instagram during Pride to reunite the two! (ahhh, modern love) From then on, Mackenzie & Meg were inseparable.
