All of our hotel recommendations for the weekend are in Nob Hill, where we’ll be getting married at the University Club. It’s one of San Francisco’s most historic neighborhoods, perched at the top of the city with classic architecture, cable cars, and beautiful views. It’s charming, central, and a perfect home base for celebrating and exploring. We recommend staying in Nob Hill so you’re close to the wedding events and everything on our “things to do” list. It’s walkable (minus a few hills!), and being nearby makes the weekend easy and fun. Airbnbs can work too, but many are farther from the action, totally up to you. Getting around: No need for a rental car for the wedding weekend. Parking is limited in Nob Hill and Ubers/Lyfts are quick and reliable throughout the city. If you’re planning to head to Napa, Carmel, or elsewhere in Northern California after the wedding, that’s when a rental car makes the most sense.

SFO – San Francisco International

The main airport for the city and the easiest choice for most travelers. Tons of nonstop routes, lots of airlines (United, Delta, American, Alaska, JetBlue, etc.), and straightforward 30-45 min Uber into the city.

OAK – Oakland International

Smaller, relaxed, and especially good if you’re flying Southwest or looking for a budget-friendly West Coast option. Also an easy Uber into the city with similar travel time to Nob Hill as SFO.
