Lake Pend Oreille
The lake in July puts the gem in Gem State. There are many different ways to enjoy the water, whether that is swimming in the refreshing blue waters, renting a boat or stand up paddle board for a day, playing at family friendly City Beach, or relaxing at a more secluded spot on the lake, such as Oden Bay or Green Bay.
Beet and Basil
We first met at this restaurant and then went on to work there together. The community and delicious food provided by Beet and Basil is unparalleled in Northern Idaho. This is a must eat place for everyone, but especially the adventurous, the gluten-free, and the vegan.
Schweitzer Mountain
A ski resort in the winter, Schweitzer in the summer transforms into a land of hiking, trail running, mountain biking, lift rides, zip lines, and horseback rides. The view alone is worth a drive up.

Farmer's Market
Held in downtown Sandpoint on Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, the Farmer's Market is a wonderful way to purchase fresh food and connect with local farmers and craftspeople.
Farragut State Park
Located on the southern tip of the lake, Farragut State Park offers unique scenery, history and an abundance of recreational opportunities, including disc golf, a radio-controlled airplane field, fishing, hiking, biking, equestrian facilities and World War II history.
The Longshot
A cozy and hip neighborhood cafe and wine bar in downtown Sandpoint. Specializing in a variety of natural wines, they also offer outdoor live music, yoga, and movie nights.
