Travel Note
We encourage guests to stay in Stateline and South Lake Tahoe, a bustling town along the southern coast of the lake known for its ski resorts and casinos. There are lots of places to stay within walking distance to popular coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. The wedding is taking place just a short 10 minute drive away in a house up the mountain off of Kingsbury Grade Rd. Note that Lake Tahoe is actually pretty big, so other parts of the lake (Tahoe City, Truckee, and Incline Village) can be well over an hour away with harrowing cliffside roads.
Flight
The closest airport is Reno (RNO). It's about 1 hour from South Lake Tahoe. If you take the Lake Tahoe Airporter shuttle to the Hotels & Casinos in Stateline ($30/pp), a rental car is not required. Flight times in and out of Reno are limited, so please plan ahead. Sacramento (SMF) is the next closest airport at a 2 hour drive away. It's an easy and beautiful drive by rental car as you head up into the mountains.
Rental Car
It's pretty convenient to get around Lake Tahoe with Lyft and Uber. If you do get a rental car, please note that there will be no parking at the venue the day of the Wedding.
House Or Rental
We encourage guests to consider either a rental house close to the venue through AirBnB or VRBO, or a hotel in Stateline. There are many great options including The Coachman Hotel, The Landing Tahoe Resort, and The Lodge at Edgewood.
