Masks are mandatory inside the Church, throughout the entire ceremony. Masks are also required at the reception anytime you are not eating or drinking - so make sure to mask up before you hit the dance floor. We will have extra masks available but can't wait to see the ones you find to match your best wedding digs.
Absolutely. In the month prior to the wedding, the bride and groom will be taking extensive measures to social distance. Guests are also encouraged to take precautions and socially-distance for two weeks prior to the wedding, as much as they can according to their own circumstance and environment. During the wedding weekend, there are several ways that guests can help with social distancing: 1. Say hello with a wave. That means no hugs and handshakes. 2. Keep at least 6 feet apart when talking, even with your mask on. 3. Stay at your assigned table during dinner. The bride and groom will come by to chat. 4. Spread out on the dance floor. There's lots of room to bust your best move!
During the Wedding Mass, about 60 people will be seated inside the Church that has a normal capacity of 700 and a socially-distanced capacity of 120. There will be ample room for households to have their own pews. The reception will be 50 guests (kids are invited to have cupcakes with the bride and groom earlier in the day). The Imperial Ballroom at the Biltmore has normal capacity for about 125 guests. There will be plenty of room to space tables and distance on the dance floor. You can also step into the lobby or onto the balcony if you need some extra breathing room.
We decided on a seated dinner so that we could eliminate a buffet with multiple points of contact. Tables will be limited to 6 guests and thoughtfully assigned for contract tracing, if needed. There will be hand sanitizer on the tables, and the bathroom is conveniently located to wash your hands too. The caterer, servers and bartenders have extensive protocols in place including extra sanitization, gloves and masks. Attendants will distribute hors d'oeuvres. The bar will have a plexi-glass shield.
We completely understand if you choose not to attend. Please let the bride and groom know as soon as possible, and we will be happy to send you an invitation to watch the ceremony via live stream! We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable, whether at home or in-person. More than anything, we ask for your continued prayers for our marriage.
