One thing we always say is that God sprinkled us throughout each others lives for a reason. While we didn't officially meet until we were at a Christmas party in 2022, we had a lot of overlap before then. My dad was Zack's childhood basketball coach, and we had mutual friends for years throughout high school and college. When we did finally meet, we both felt like we had already known each other for years. We saw each other a handful more times, until a game night in 2024 when we decided to take our friendship to the next level. We went to dinner at Mashita, axe throwing at Beards and Broads, and ended the night talking until we closed down Buffalo Wild Wings. Things took flight after that, literally, when he took me up flying for our third date. Since then, we’ve been each other's Captain and Copilot in everything we do, from our shared faith to being a little too competitive at Nintendo games. We knew pretty quickly we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. He had let it slip that he had bought a ring and I was very adamant he was not going to be able surprise me with the engagement. Turns out I was very wrong. We went to visit our friends in Dallas, TX. We had both agreed that it would be dumb to bring a ring through airport security, because you never know what could happen to it. So, I was completely oblivious, just enjoying our trip, until he got down on one knee and popped the question. He was so nervous all he blurted out was "Will you marry me?" While I was speechless for a good few seconds, I was able to eventually get out my "Yes!", much to his relief. We are forever grateful to God for bringing us into each others lives at just the right moment. We cannot wait to share this next chapter with all of you! -Megan and Zack
