One late college night at the reliable old bar they affectionately called Rumors, two strangers crossed paths and, eventually, fell in love. Cute, right? Well unfortunately it didn't happen ~exactly~ like that. When Sean first approached Megan and asked for her name, she cheekily replied, “Danielle.” (It was girls’ night—no boys allowed! You can't blame her?!) It didn’t take long for Sean to charm the truth out of her with his winning smile, quick wit, and a sense of humor that was impossible to resist. Before long, the two were head over heels for each other. Over the next six years, Sean and Megan traveled the world together, calling anywhere they were as long as they were together, "home." Their adventures finally brought them back to the city where it all began — Washington, D.C. On their sixth anniversary, Sean planned a special evening: a private boat ride along the Wharf channels. With the Washington Monument standing tall in the background, Sean suggested they take some photos. First, he said "Let's take a nice one. Next, a silly one." Finally, as he got down on one knee, he said, "Now let's take one where I ask you to marry me!" Without hesitation, Megan said yes! (and the water works began!)
