We're Getting Married!

We met 17 years ago this January 2020...on AOL Instant Messenger, of all things. We were both in college at NIU at the time, and had ourselves a brief little whirlwind romance. But, as is the way of the world, things happen. College is college, he wound up heading off to the Navy, and we both realized we weren't quite ready for all of that. Over the next 15 years we drifted in and out of contact when we crossed paths...we always dropped right back into the way it used to be, but the timing never worked out. Then, in May of 2018, I sent a random text to say hey after not talking for a couple of years, and everything finally just clicked into place, like it was always meant to be. We dated long distance for a little over a year, before we finally moved in together here in Tennessee. Now we're working on happily ever after for our little family of three. In terms of our wedding, we would just like everyone to know that we are at a point in our lives where we have a lot of highly irritating grown up financial responsibilities, so our event is going to be necessarily small. As much as we would love to have all of our friends and family there, that list gets into the hundreds very quickly, and we simply don't have the resources for that. Just know that we love you all, and we hope to see you very soon, and we're so glad you've been there to support both of us through the years! ❤
