We are sad to inform everyone that we have postponed our wedding from March 20, 2021 to September 25, 2021. Due to prolonged lockdown mandates in the state of Nevada, we felt it necessary to postpone so that we may celebrate with ALL our friends and family in a safe atmosphere. Megan and Roland met through an online dating site in 2015. Their first date was at Rancho Viejo, a small Mexican restaurant in Pullman, WA. When asked, Megan will report that he wore sweat pants and a neon green Sounders shirt while she had strategically dolled herself up with a pink blouse, black slacks, and make-up. They unofficially dated for the semester before he graduated. They spent evenings powering through the SAW series or playing Grand Theft Auto on the XBox.

The timing was not right when they first met. Roland graduated and went home to Auburn, WA where he started working for Open Road RV. Megan graduated and went to North Carolina to complete a small animal rotating internship before she returned home to Las Vegas, NV. As fate would have it, they began talking again when the Elsarelli's began to plan a vacation where friends were allowed to join. Megan invited Roland to partake in their holiday cruise and they began dating March 2018. Despite only seeing each other every 4-5 weeks over the course of 2018, they managed to make it through long distance. Roland moved to Las Vegas January of 2019.

Megan and Roland went to California for a weekend away. Weather washed away a lot of opportunities for the beginning of their weekend. Instead, they went to a small winery called Agua Dulce in Santa Clarita, CA. It was a weekday so they were closed for tours. The landscape was torched by the wildfires, and the remaining vines had been picked clean for new wines. They shared a glass of wine and left the winery. Megan bee-lined it for the car and sat in the passenger side where he proposed. She thought she messed up the proposal, and he realized he should have locked the car. Despite the scenario, she said yes.
