Flight
1. Aspen/Pitkin County Airport - 30 min drive away from Carbondale and conveniently located in the Roaring Fork Valley. 2. Grand Junction Regional Airport- 1.5 hr drive away from Carbondale, near the Utah border. A bus, shuttle, or car rental is required. 3. Denver International Airport- ~3.5 hour drive from Carbondale depending on traffic, but likely the cheapest option. A bus, shuttle, Amtrack, or car rental is required.
Train
There are many stops on the Amtrak and can be a great way for visitors to get around the state. It is very beautiful and affordable. However, it does take longer in terms of time. Closest stop to Carbondale is Glenwood Springs, a 20 minute car or bus ride.
