Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 6:00 pm so plan to arrive about 10-15 minutes early. Keep an eye on traffic and the ride-share apps.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be on your own. We recommend Lyft or Uber. You never know with traffic, weather, ride-share demands - so we recommend booking your ride-share ahead of time. There aren't a ton of events happening in Chicago on December 3rd, so we're hopeful it won't be difficult to find a ride! If you are driving, parking is easy. Ovation is situated in an industrial area so there are not many cars parked on the street. There is plenty of free street parking, plus Ovation has a small free lot.

Can I bring a date?

While we'd love to invite more people we are unfortunately limited to a very strict number of guests. The guests that we have accounted for are on your invitation. Thank you for understanding and please reach out to Megan or Marcus if you are unsure!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids. But they will stay home tonight and you are letting loose. This is an adult only wedding.

Can I make a special food request?

Answer

Dinner will be a buffet with the following: beef brisket, oven roasted chicken, fingerling potatoes, green beans, and mac and cheese. If you have a food allergy or require a vegetarian option, either identify that in your RSVP or let Megan or Marcus know by November 15.

COVID vaccination AND a negative COVID test within 72 hours are required. How will this info be collected?

Answer

Simply have a photo or screenshot on your phone available. No need to bring paperwork! Rapid tests are a-okay. Thanks for keeping everyone safe and being patient with these requirements!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal dress is recommended but what's most important is that you feel good! It's December in Chicago, which means we can get any type of weather. There is a free coat check. Hoping we won't need snow or rain boots, but feel free to bring a change of shoes too.

I'm in for lunch the next day! What's the vibe at Joe's on Weed Street?

Answer

Yay! We are happy you want to keep the party going! Joe's is a sports bar - very causal. We will provide a private room and lunch buffet from 12:00-3:00. If you're thirsty, a drink package for top-shelf booze is $40 for 3 hours. We'll see where the party takes us from there!
