We met our freshman year at Middlebury College when we both joined the rugby team and happened to live in the same dorm building. For years, we were close friends, playing rugby together, studying at the student center café, and enjoying nights out on campus with our teammates. It wasn't until our senior year that we started to fall in love. Something changed that year-- after studying abroad, after the COVID lockdown... and to this day, we don't know what. But ever since the fall of 2020, we have been falling in love more and more every day. After graduation, we learned and grew together through a long-distance, NYC-DC relationship until Megan decided to move to DC. After a year of growing our relationship even further in the same city, and Maddie spending almost every day at Megan's apartment, we moved in together and began to build our first home. We've created traditions, recipes, and rituals together in our home that we'll keep together forever. In October of 2025, Maddie asked Megan to marry her.
