A Wedding in the Woods

The third weekend of September we invite you to enjoy the weekend as we seal our marriage with a peck between the pines. The venue holds lodging for all guests, so no hotels necessary. We’re excited to sing, dance, and be merry.

The venue is on 160 acres with 180 beds, so there is room for everyone! If you do choose a hotel for overnight stay, know that you are welcome to use your cabin anytime for changing and refreshing. Specifics and details can be found in the FAQ section, or reach out anytime.

We met through Molly. We all were at a mutual friend’s house in Lake Jackson VA. Over the years we’ve worked together, crafted together, and moved down into the hills of Harrisonburg. We’ve enjoyed camping, fishing, gaming and goofing for the past 11 years. We are currently living in Lake Jackson, back where we first met, enjoying our friends, family, and our pride and joy, Buddy-boy. Our forever home awaits us, and we’re excited to start growing roots for our family to bloom.

The summer we started dated, Luke invited me to their family vacation, during which his aunt Christine and uncle Wes held their wedding ceremony on the beach. They had gotten a few beach houses for the week— we enjoyed baking in the sun, walking barefoot next door, relaxing and celebrating together. I remember how the ceremony was everlasting, surrounded by family and love. I knew then I wanted a weekend wedding. With both of our families being gigantic, we knew that would require the right spot. Megan camped in the yard growing up, enjoyed RV trips, and her Aunt Karen and uncle John’s West Virginia property where our family camped multiple holidays a year, a tradition that lasted a decade. Luke enjoyed camping yearly as a kid at Low Water bridge Campground, and at Wilderness with his family. When we met, camping was a natural choice, done with any excuse. From Blackwater to Dry River, for anniversaries and birthdays, we knew we wanted to enjoy our wedding in nature. After a suggestion from Luke’s aunt Meg and a quick tour, we thought having our wedding here was perfect. We wouldn’t be who we are now without all of you, and your love for us. We want nothing more than your company in celebrating our love for each other. We’ll see you there!
