Memorial Union Terrace
There truly is nowhere else quite like the Terrace. Grab a beer, watch the sailboats, and stick around for the sunset.
University of Wisconsin - Memorial Union
Be sure to check out the beautiful and historic Memorial Union! While you're there, take a walk through Alumni Park to learn about some pretty cool Badgers (and take a selfie with the giant Bucky, of course!).
Bascom Hill
Take a stroll up to the top of Bascom Hill. Be sure to give Abe's foot a rub for good luck while you're there!
Babcock Hall Dairy Store
Grab some delicious Babcock ice cream at Babcock Hall! Megan loves Union Utopia and Ka is partial to Chocolate Peanut Butter. While you're there you can also try some fresh Wisconsin cheese! You can also find Babcock ice cream at Memorial Union and Union South.
Farmer's Market on the Square
One of our FAVORITE things to do in Madison! The farmers market takes place on Saturdays, so if you're looking for something to do before the wedding we definitely recommend this!! If you go you absolutely MUST get the hot and spicy cheese bread. You can thank us later.
Wisconsin State Capitol
The Wisconsin State Capitol building is absolutely beautiful and totally free to explore!
State Street
With Bascom Hill on one end and Capitol Square on the other, you really can't go wrong with a walk down State Street.
Lakeshore Path and Picnic Point
Whether you're looking to burn off some of those cheese curds or just want to get some fresh air, a walk along Lakeshore Path to Picnic Point is always a great choice. It's about 5.5 miles round trip from Memorial Union, or park in Lot 60 for a much more abbreviated version.
The Old Fashioned
A great Wisconsin bar, The Old Fashioned is one of our favorites! Go for the cheese curds and stay for the old fashioneds (or check our their great selection of Wisconsin beers!).
Mickies Dairy Bar
Mickey's Dairy Bar is a Madison institution and boasts the best hangover food in Dane county. One of our favorite (and most frequented) breakfast spots for sure.
Ale Asylum
If you're flying into Madison, try to add this brewery into your plans! They brew Ka's all-time favorite beer: Hopalicious.
Wisconsin Brewing Company
Great beer in an amazing setting. Definitely worth checking out.
