We met during a Packer game in the lobby of the college apartment we lived in. Megan had just just transferred to UW and didn't know anyone yet, so she made cookies to take down to the game because sharing cookies is a great way to make new friends. Ka was in the lobby watching the game that day too, and he couldn't turn down homemade cookies. He ate them all and the rest is history.
By our wedding day, we will have been dating for five and a half years. We have lived in 3 different states and five different apartments and have had more adventures than we can count. We fell in love with camping and hiking thanks to two of our closest friends (who Megan once told "I will NEVER go backpacking") and have been to 17 National Parks (43 more to go!)
Not long after moving to Southern California, we met Charles and Bri, now two of our closest friends, at a brewery. Instantly hitting it off, we set up multiple double dates that included rock climbing, beers, tacos, and eventually a trip to our first national park: Zion. Fast forward to a year and a half (and a whole lot of camping trips) later and Ka planned a return to Zion...this time with a ring in his pocket. At the top of Angel's Landing, a super intense and nerve-wracking hike, Ka asked a stranger to take our picture. While the man was snapping away, Ka got down on one knee and asked Megan to be his adventure partner for life. Together with our families we are excited to announce our wedding on June 29, 2019 in Madison, Wisconsin where our romance began. We would be honored to celebrate the day with you.
#EasyAsABeeTse Megan's nickname growing up was "Megan Bee" because she couldn't say "Wetherbee" and Ka's last name is pronounced like the letter "C." Put it all together and you get a catchy Jackson 5 song that you'll have stuck in your head for the rest of the day!
