We are so excited to celebrate with you all!!

Wes and I met at a social between my sorority and his fraternity themed, "Good Will Hunting." Our mutual friends brought us together that night and we spent the rest of the mixer together. A few days after the mixer, Wes was able to find me on Facebook and ask me to Carolina Cup. I accepted! We went to Carolina Cup together and got our very first picture together.

We kept in touch over the summer and began to get really close during football season. In December 2014, Wes asked me to be his girlfriend and of course, I accepted! We spent the rest of our undergraduate years going to functions together, going to every single football game together, and countless other trips including going to the Final Four in Phoenix, Arizona. Basically every fond memory we have from our time at the University of South Carolina is when the two of us were together. When we finally got to senior year we knew we wanted to move in together during post grad. Once I found out I got into my dream school, The University of Florida, we decided we would both travel down to Gainesville, FL and begin post graduate life together. I began working towards my doctorate while Wes began working. Wes received a job in Atlanta, GA during our first year living together. So, then began our next adventure of long distance. Since we were no longer living together we decided the best idea would be for me to get a puppy to keep me company! So our sweet puppy, Fitzgerald Mack Williams (Fitz for short) joined our small family in January of 2019. We spent a year and a half long distance, Wes in GA and me in FL. Although it was tough, we were able to see each other multiple times during the month, which made the distance easier. I finally moved back in March of 2020 and we are now happily living together in Roswell.

During my spring break in March 2019, we had decided to go on a weekend trip with some of our closest friends to Asheville, NC. It had been a while since we were together with all of our friends, so my spring break time felt like the most ideal time to get together. Wes and I had been looking at rings for some time, and we decided before we left for our weekend trip that we would look at rings at a local jewelry store. I though I had found my "perfect ring" and was on cloud nine before going on our trip. I also had previously thought that he would maybe propose that weekend but those thoughts went out the door after we found the ring just that week. Little did I know Wes had had MY ring for a month before we even went to that jewelry store! The Saturday of our trip we all decided to go to many of the breweries in Asheville. The first one we went to was Sierra Nevada. We found a perfect spot next to some windows, grabbed a beer, and decided to play "What do you Meme?" My friends had decided it would be fun to mix things up and include very unfortunate pictures of all of us to "meme" instead of the pictures included in the game. So we started the game and everyone's pictures were played except mine. My unfortunate picture was the last one in the pile! My picture was played and everyone played their meme cards, but I had no idea that Wes had created his own special "meme" card to go with my picture. This card said "Megan's face when Wes proposes!" I read the card, burst into tears, and I think I blacked out because I have no idea what he said to me. Wes got down on one knee and proposed to me in front of our most favorite people. I of course said/nodded my head yes (I was crying too hard to speak) and we began our journey as a happily engaged couple!
