Travel Note
June in St Andrews is mild and often breezy, with average daytime highs around 15–17 °C (59–63 °F) and cooler evenings near 9–10 °C (48–50 °F). There’s a chance of light rain or breezy conditions, so layers and a light jacket are recommended, but you’ll also enjoy long daylight hours for photos and beach time.
Flight
We suggest flying into Edinburgh. It’s Scotland’s largest international airport and has more flight options from the U.S., including direct service with United Airlines from cities like DC, New York/Newark and Chicago. Glasgow is also an option if you find a flight that works better for your travel plans or if it’s more convenient for your itinerary. If you’re traveling from the DMV area, we typically fly out of Dulles (IAD) or BWI, and both offer a range of connections to Scotland.
Train
The trains in Scotland are great. We suggest getting the train from Edinburgh airport to Leuchars and getting the bus or a taxi from there to St Andrews!
Hotel
Located at Kinkell Braes, just a short distance from the town center. This park offers a range of accommodations, including lodges with hot tubs, holiday homes, and touring pitches.
