The Welcome Party will be held at our favorite restaurant in Columbus. We kindly ask you wear cocktail attire.
Garden formal attire. For women, think maxi or midi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy sets. Florals, pastels, fun pops of color - it's spring at the lake! Please keep in mind this is an outdoor wedding in the grass, so plan shoes accordingly (block heels, wedges, dressy flats, etc). For men, please wear a sport coat or suit.
We will be providing shuttles from the hotel block to Grandview Lake. Even if you are not staying at the hotel, you are still able to park in their parking lot and take the shuttle. Shuttles will also be available at the end of the evening to take guests back. We highly recommend taking the shuttle because parking at the venue is very limited, and it can be difficult to navigate the windy lake roads.
We will have 2 shuttles picking up from Hotel Indigo to transport guests to the venue. The first shuttle will depart at 3:15PM, the second at 3:30PM. The ceremony will be begin promptly at 4:30PM, and we ask guests to arrive by 4:15PM. It's about a 30 minute shuttle ride from the hotel to the venue. At the end of the evening, the shuttles will be running to take guests back to the hotel. The last shuttle will be at 11PM.
Hey, we get it. It's always a scramble getting ready for weddings. If you miss the first two shuttles, don’t worry. As soon as the first shuttle drops guests off, it will head back to pick up anyone who’s still waiting. You may arrive a bit late to the ceremony, but we’d much rather you arrive safely via shuttle than drive on the lake roads.
Since our venue is a private home, guest parking is very limited and not available onsite. If you need to drive your own vehicle, please reach out to Megan and Joe directly and we’ll help direct you to the best place to park nearby. Please plan ahead for a safe ride home and do not drink and drive.
Great question! To clarify - this is not a formal wedding venue, this is our family's home.
