Summer 2020 is where it all began. Chicago was shut down due to COVID, so Joe headed down to Grandview Lake in Indiana with his best friend, Patrick Garvin, in tow. The two of them spent the summer playing Xbox all night, working as little as possible, and spending as much time on the water as they could. Megan, who had always happily tagged along with her older brother, decided this summer would be no exception. She wasn’t about to miss out on any of the fun. Before long, Megan took up a “passion” for water skiing so she could be part of the boys’s boat crew. Luckily for her, Joe, Ted, and Patrick welcomed her. It was a summer of skiing, sunset cruises, wine nights, and soaking up the sun. The best kind of summer. Then one day, something unexpected happened. Joe asked Megan to go on a sunset boat cruise just the the two of them. Fast forward six years… and here we are, celebrating their wedding in the very place where it all began. Grandview Lake will forever hold a special place in their hearts. (And yes, Megan still water skis… but only when Joe makes her.)
