Our venue requires all guests to be vaccinated or to have a negative COVID-19 test (if unable to be vaccinated). If children are below the eligible age to receive a vaccination, you'll just need to provide proof of a negative test at the venue. We have guests and vendors in high risk groups, and we also want everyone to feel as comfortable and safe as possible.
Yes, please. Rapid tests provide results in ~15 mins. CVS, Walgreens, Target, and Walmart all have them. Let us know if you are in pinch and need one when you get to Madison, and we'll help find one for you. If members of your party are ineligible for a COVID-19 vaccine (young kiddos), you will need to provide evidence of a negative test at the venue (required by our venue).
All events will be open air or outside. The rehearsal dinner will take place in a warehouse room with three walls and an open garage door. There will be limited outdoor space for guests to mingle as well. Hilltop events will be on a grassy lawn for the ceremony, under a tent canopy for the reception dinner, and in a pavilion for the dance party and games (games are inside a camp canteen structure).
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place inside a finished barn at the same venue. If this occurs, we ask that guests wear masks while inside at all times.
It's up to you! Madison has great dining and entertainment options. It's a very walkable city, with a well utilized bus system, and many Uber/Lyft drivers. Our rehearsal dinner will also be held in Madison. The roads between Madison and the venue are winding farm roads. We will provide a school bus shuttle service that will leave once from Madison and return once from Spring Green (later in the evening- more details to follow). Camping at the venue is an option (if you RSVP), and there are hotels in Spring Green. It's also worth looking into ride share options (Uber/Lyft reservations) if you want to leave on your own terms but want to split costs with others. There is plenty of parking at the venue!
We would LOVE to invite all of the children in our close circles. However, we are strictly limited in the number of guests our venue allows and are only inviting the children of family members. Good news? Young babies (who would be in your lap for the events) do not count towards our guest limit, and you are welcome to bring infants! For family members bringing kids, we look forward to seeing your families, and children have been considered in our invite numbers. We will have yard games, sodas, and s'mores that they are welcome to enjoy.
Not per se, but we will be asking honored guests (family and close friends) to participate in other ways. We're hoping for one big party.
While we hope to see you at the wedding, we totally understand that life is busy, weddings are expensive, and gatherings present a COVID-19 risk. Whatever your reason for not making it, we get it! Just give us a heads up by the RSVP deadline (May 14th).
