Mount Princeton Hot Springs & Spa is located only a 15 minute drive away from Buena Vista. For a $45 day pass, you can enjoy their creek-side natural hot springs as well as their hot spring-fed pools. Additionally, there is a spa on site for additional cost.
Collegiate Peaks Golf Course is located right in Buena Vista. They offer club rentals if you do not want to fly yours out. Tee times can be made 21 days in advance.
Buena Vista is within close proximity to the James River, Maury River as well as several streams in the George Washington National Forest. The Maury river gets repeated stockings of trout in the spring and fall. You can purchase your fishing license at the Buena Vista Clerk of Court.
