Why Eastport?
If you've spent enough time with us, you've heard about how special Maine is to us. Hil is a through and through Mainer, Meg fell in love with Maine in her 20's, and the two of us met in Portland. Even though we don't live here right now, Maine will always feel like home and we hope to meander back eventually.
In October 2019, we did an overnight backpacking trip on the Cutler Coast with Walter. It was a beautiful trip along the rugged Bold Coast, complete with a tidal zone bonfire and endless stunning ocean views.
Ever since we started talking about having a wedding, we felt certain we wanted to share this part of the world with our friends and family. We stumbled on Rossport By The Sea, and visited the property on a whim in 2024 while we were Downeast on vacation. We didn't have a wedding plan yet, but we had a feeling this was the right place! Eastport is quirky, it's out there, and we can't wait to share it with you all.
