Our time at Rossport by the Sea will be a casual party on the beach! Don't think of it as a wedding. Think of it as a beach celebration. Some common items you might like to bring include: -comfy clothes -swimsuit and towel -sunscreen and bugspray -a warm jacket and a rain coat - it does get chilly once the sun goes down! We'll be outside the whole day (weather permitting) so layers are always a good idea -toothbrush and toothpaste and other necessary toiletries
We will have snacks rolling out throughout the day, so rest assured there will be plenty of variety. We will plan for a larger casual barbecue dinner (details to come, keep an eye on this page).
Yes, let us know! Because we won't be doing a formal sit-down dinner, it will be easy to pick and choose foods that work for you, but please let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate accordingly.
Not formal at all! Remember, this is a party, not a wedding. Wear what you feel good in, and will allow you to handle walking on uneven ground, dancing, and playing. Jeans and a t-shirt are perfectly fine, or a fun dress or collared shirt are also welcome if you feel so inclined to be a cutie.
Sure! We plan to have some beer, wine, and some batch cocktails for you to enjoy throughout the celebration (Meg is particularly excited about a beer canoe and a keg of bubbly), and you're also welcome to bring your own drinks.
Sadly, there is a no pet policy at Rossport By The Sea.
Yes! Come one come all, the more the merrier! Please just make sure to RSVP for everyone so we can be sure to have enough food and drinks.
Yes, there will be a parking area on the peninsula, walking distance from the party.
If you are staying on the Rossport property, everything is walking distance! There is also a gator for transporting guests if you need some extra assistance. If you are staying somewhere other than one of the Rossport cabins, a car will be necessary. Ubers and such are probably not a reliable option in this part of Maine. We recommend bringing or renting a car, or we may be able to connect you with another guest to carpool with.
There is so much to do in this area that we are excited for you to explore! Check out the "things to do" tab and chat with us if you have questions. We won't have a specific itinerary for Friday or Sunday, we're more than happy to offer recommendations.
