Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our places in the area with you!
Taughannock Falls

Taughannock Falls

740 Taughannock Blvd, Trumansburg, NY 14886
, 607-387-6739

The highest waterfall east of the Mississippi. A wonderful, gentle 1 mile walk (2 miles roundtrip) back to the foot of the falls and hundreds of feet of lake front.

Ithaca Farmers Market

Ithaca Farmers Market

545 3rd Street, Ithaca, NY 14850
, (607) 273-7109

Open Saturdays 9am-3pm and Sunday 10am-3pm. The Ithaca Farmers Market is an owner–operated cooperative market with over 160 members, who grow or produce their wares within 30 miles of the pavilion. You’ll find a full spread at the market with something for everyone — hot prepared foods, a full spread of vegetables, fruit, cheese, pastured meat, wine, cider, eggs, bakeries, and exceptionally crafted artisanal gifts for your loved ones.

Treman State Park

Treman State Park

129 Upper Park Road, Newfield, NY 14867

We recommend driving to the upper entrance of Treman State Park. Take the trail past the 115-foot Lucifer Falls (turn around when the trail descends steeply into the woods). Robert H. Treman State Park is an area of wild beauty, with the rugged gorge called Enfield Glen as its scenic highlight. Winding trails follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, to where visitors can see a mile-and-a-half down the wooded gorge as it winds its way to the lower park. Enjoy nine miles of hiking trails, or swim in a stream-fed pool beneath a waterfall.

Cornell University & Johnson Art Museum

Cornell University & Johnson Art Museum

114 Central Ave, Ithaca, NY 14853

The Cornell Art Museum is free and has beautiful views from the top floor. The campus is a lovely place for a walk with two deep gorges.

Cornell Botanic Gardens

Cornell Botanic Gardens

124 Comstock Knoll Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850

The Cornell Botanic Gardens are beautiful and huge! Start at the visitor's center (124 Comstock Knoll Drive). We suggest driving to the Newman Overlook and taking a walk from that parking lot.

Ithaca Children's Garden

Ithaca Children's Garden

121 Turtle Lane, Ithaca, NY 14850
, (607) 319-4203

Ithaca Children’s Garden is an award-winning 3-acre public children’s garden designed for kids, enjoyed by all, and driven by a mission to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.

Museum of the Earth

Museum of the Earth

1259 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, NY 14850
, (607) 273-6623

Super natural history museum. Megan served on the board and chaired the architect selection committee when PRI decided to build the museum.

Sciencenter

Sciencenter

601 1st Street, Ithaca, NY 14850
, (607) 272-0600

The Sciencenter inspires excitement for science through interactive exhibits and programs that engage, educate and empower. The hands-on museum offers visitors of all ages (although we think it's best for kids) more than 250 exhibits, educational programs, a gift shop, an outdoor science park and a seasonal miniature golf course. Look, touch, listen & discover at the Sciencenter. The Sciencenter is closed on Monday for Labor Day.

Antlers Restaurant

Antlers Restaurant

1159 Dryden Road, Ithaca, NY 14850
, (607) 273-9725

Maddie’s boyfriend, Roger, is a chef here - try his Chicken Marsala!

Ithaca Bakery

Ithaca Bakery

2255 North Triphammer Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850
, 607-257-2255

Great sandwiches, sweet treats and breakfasts close to Craig and Megan's and walking distance from Cayuga Blu hotel.

Finger Lakes Cider House

Finger Lakes Cider House

4017 Hickok Road, Interlaken, NY 14847
, (607) 351-3313

The Ithaca area is really developing some great ciders - the Cider House is a good place to sample some along with some farm-to-table bites with a view over Cayuga Lake.

Cayuga Lake Wine Trail

Cayuga Lake Wine Trail

658 Lake Rd, King Ferry, NY 13081

The Cayuga Wine Trail has wineries all around the lake. Treleaven Wines (658 Lake Road, King Ferry) is one of our favorites and one of the closest that offers food and tastings. Another winery that offers a nice selection of food and wine and a beautiful view of the lake is Thirsty Owl on the west side.
