Open Saturdays 9am-3pm and Sunday 10am-3pm. The Ithaca Farmers Market is an owner–operated cooperative market with over 160 members, who grow or produce their wares within 30 miles of the pavilion. You’ll find a full spread at the market with something for everyone — hot prepared foods, a full spread of vegetables, fruit, cheese, pastured meat, wine, cider, eggs, bakeries, and exceptionally crafted artisanal gifts for your loved ones.
We recommend driving to the upper entrance of Treman State Park. Take the trail past the 115-foot Lucifer Falls (turn around when the trail descends steeply into the woods). Robert H. Treman State Park is an area of wild beauty, with the rugged gorge called Enfield Glen as its scenic highlight. Winding trails follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, to where visitors can see a mile-and-a-half down the wooded gorge as it winds its way to the lower park. Enjoy nine miles of hiking trails, or swim in a stream-fed pool beneath a waterfall.
The Sciencenter inspires excitement for science through interactive exhibits and programs that engage, educate and empower. The hands-on museum offers visitors of all ages (although we think it's best for kids) more than 250 exhibits, educational programs, a gift shop, an outdoor science park and a seasonal miniature golf course. Look, touch, listen & discover at the Sciencenter. The Sciencenter is closed on Monday for Labor Day.
The Cayuga Wine Trail has wineries all around the lake. Treleaven Wines (658 Lake Road, King Ferry) is one of our favorites and one of the closest that offers food and tastings. Another winery that offers a nice selection of food and wine and a beautiful view of the lake is Thirsty Owl on the west side.
