YES! November 14 is the same day as the Charlotte Marathon. While this is a great event, having participated myself, it is a huge event for the City, and can cause a great deal of traffic due to the road closures. The marathon course will mainly affect Charlottes City Center (Uptown) and surrounding neighborhoods such as Eastover, Plaza Midwood, and Myers Park. We HIGHLY encourage you to book accommodations close to the highways if you’re planing to stay in Uptown, such as the Westin, stay local to Kings Mountain, or utilize the beautiful neighborhood of South Park. Please be mindful that the road closures can impact how car services and your own vehicles will get you to the venue. Please see travel page for more details on our many hotel options and where transportation will be available to our guests. Leave early, be prepared, and we can’t wait to see you there! We respectfully request no children at the reception. This will allow all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening. We suggest using our celebration as a date-night! We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
Our wedding dress code is formal. For women, this means a long floor length gown, and for men, a suit and tie are appropriate. Tuxes are welcome, but not required. Fall colors are encouraged to complement our vineyard setting. Warm, earthy tones and jewel hues are especially welcome!

There will be limited parking available at Veronet. We encourage you to carpool or utilize the provided shuttles that will transport guests to and from the venue. When you arrive, follow the driveway up past the white building on top of the hill (this is the tasting room, and will be open to the public until 6:00pm) and continue on around to the paved drive. This will bring you down to the larger grey building, where our reception and ceremony will take place. Please see travel page for more details regarding shuttles!
We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
We recommend staying in Charlotte, due to the proximity to the airport and many local attractions! Our venue is about a 31 minute drive from Charlotte's city center. Welcome drinks will also be hosted in Charlotte the night before the wedding, and we would love to celebrate with you all weekend! Please feel free to stay where ever you are most comfortable, and reach out to us with any questions. Also feel free to check Airbnb's in Charlotte or Kings Mountain as other options as well.
Yes! We plan to kick off the weekend of celebrations with a welcome party on Friday the 13th (spooky, we know). Join us at 7:00pm on the rooftop of the AC Southpark hotel to get the party started! See schedule page for additional details regarding the welcome party! The day after, meet us for some beers at OMB Brewery!
