There is so much to do in Charlotte and we are excited to share it with you. Breweries are big here, we have more than 30. Some of our favorites are below. Charlotte is the home to the U.S. National Whitewater Center, so if you are a fan of outdoor activity we suggest you check it out. Don't forget NASCAR! Charlotte is the home of NASCAR and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, located Uptown. For family friendly fun check out the Discovery Place located Uptown, some of our parks or sporting events.

Divine Barrel Brewing

One of our favorites and close to our house. This is where the welcome event on Friday will be held.

The Chamber by Wooden Robot - NoDa

416 East 36th Street, Charlotte, NC 28205

Also in NoDa, this place has a great patio and roof top deck and is at the light rail stop. If you like their beer but are in South End, stop by their other location.

Salud Beer Shop

Just one of our little neighborhood favorites, oh and did we mention the James Beard nomination and three-time winner of Best Beer Bar in the U.S. Check out the upstairs (Cerveceria) and the downstairs (bottle shop), different vibes, different beer, same great food.

Resident Culture Brewing Company

2101 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205

Not to be confused with their other location where the wedding will be held. The original Plaza-Midwood location has a different vibe... but the same beer.

Haberdish

We know that lots of visitors to Charlotte may want to try some Southern cuisine. This is one of our favorites: fried chicken, grits, okra, liver mush and pimento cheese... all the classics. Food is served family style so go as a group and try it all.

Burial Beer Co. Charlotte Taproom

1214 Thomas Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205

This location opened recently, but Asheville regulars know that Burial has been cranking out great beer for a while. Cool décor and great roof top bar.

HopFly Brewing Company

Located closer to the wedding venue, HopFly has good beer and a great permanent food truck: Katsu Kart (just different fried chicken)

Whitewater Center

If you are into whitewater rafting, kayaking, climbing, zip-wiring, mountain biking, hiking, or just being outdoors and drinking beer, the Whitewater Center has something for you.

Discovery Place Science

The Discovery Place is the Science Museum located Uptown, close to the 7th Street light rail station stop.

Optimist Hall

1115 North Brevard Street, Charlotte, NC 28206

This old mill turned food hall is perfect if no one can agree on what they want to eat. For Atlanta folks, think a smaller Ponce City Market. There are indoor and outdoor spaces, plus another brewery. It is located along the light rail, next to the Parkwood station.
