Japan House, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The location of several of our engagement photos, Japan House is full of life in late-May. Beautiful scenery and plenty of trails for walking make this a great spot to get some fresh air and super fresh selfies.
Jarling's Custard Cup
Our favorite custard spot in town! Try the rootbeer float or the cookie dough snowstorm.
DESTIHL Restaurant & Brew Works
One of the best restaurants in town. If you arrive early or stay late, we definitely recommend checking this place out!
Homer Lake Forest Preserve
A short hop, skip, and a jump away from Urbana is a great place to find some fresh air and lets the kids run off some energy. We love to take the hammock and fishing poles out to spend a couple hours away from the city. If you have any downtime and are looking for family-friendly ideas, this would be my top pick.
Meadowbrook Park
A great outdoor playground for kids and adults, alike, and only a short distance from where we live in Urbana!
