FAQs

Question

Why Singapore?

Answer

Singapore is home for Megan. She spent her childhood there and lived there for much of her life, and it played a huge role in shaping who she is. As our relationship grew, it became important to us that Christian experience that part of her life firsthand and get to know the family and community that helped shape her. After his first visit to Singapore and time spent with Megan’s family, Christian understood much more clearly where many of the qualities he loves most about her come from. What started as Megan’s home quickly became a place that felt meaningful to both of us. As our families come together, it also feels important to share Singapore with Christian’s side of the family and give them the chance to experience a place that has been such a significant part of Megan’s life. This city, its people, and the experiences we've had here will continue to be part of the life we build together, no matter where we live. Getting married in Singapore feels like a natural way to honor Megan's roots, bring our families together, and celebrate a place that has become deeply meaningful to both of us. What began as Megan's home is now part of our shared story, and we know it will remain part of the life and traditions we build together. We're excited to celebrate that with all of you.

Question

What Should I expect?

Answer

In February, Singapore is warm, humid, and relatively dry, with average daily temperatures ranging from a high of 88∘F to a low of 75∘F. It is one of the drier months as the northeast monsoon concludes, offering more sunshine and less rainfall, making it a pleasant time to visit. Our dates also fall during Chinese New Year, one of the most exciting times to be in Singapore. Across the city, you'll find streets and neighborhoods decorated with lanterns and lights, festive markets, cultural performances, fireworks, and an incredible variety of seasonal food. The holiday brings a unique energy to Singapore as families gather, businesses celebrate, and the city comes alive with traditions both old and new. We're excited that our friends and family will get to experience Singapore during one of its most vibrant and memorable times of the year.

Question

What should I do?

Answer

We’ll be celebrating all week long and will share a loose itinerary of where we’ll be — you’re more than welcome to join us for any (or all!) of it. Expect to eat our way through our favorite Singaporean dishes, revisit meaningful spots from Megan's childhood, and make our way through a few “Top 50” bars along the way. If you have the time to extend your trip, one of our absolute favorite things to do is hop to another country in Asia. Singapore is incredibly central and just a short flight from places like Bali, the Philippines, Thailand, and beyond. We’ve made a habit of country-hopping whenever we’re in this part of the world to fully maximize our trip, and we highly recommend it if you’re up for a little extra adventure! We’re so excited to explore, eat, and celebrate with you.
