Sarasota Airport is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Sarasota, where the hotels are located. It is certainly the closest airport but smaller than TPA so will likely have less direct flights.

Tampa Airport is about an hour drive from downtown Sarasota. It is a larger airport and likely has more direct flight options. Since it is further away it may be more convenient to rent a car from this location.
