Eric and Megan planned a trip to the mountains several months in advance for Thanksgiving Break. Megan wanted to share her home state with Eric and show him how beautiful the North Georgia mountains are. Meanwhile, Megan’s sister, Jena, came to Pensacola for a trip with her friends and while she was there, she slipped Eric the ring. The ring is Megan’s Mother, Donna’s ring. Eric kept the ring hidden for months until the Blue Ridge trip. Eric planned to propose on that trip so he was secretly planning a photographer and a location with an excellent view. When Megan and Eric were going to this location, Boyd Gap, Megan thought they were going to take selfies. We showed up at Boyd Gap and there were two photographers and Megan thought they were there to take pictures of the scenery. Eric asked them to take a picture of us and then he proposed! We went down the road to take pictures by the Toccoa River where there are big beautiful rocks and the mountains in the background. We went to downtown Blue Ridge for dinner to celebrate and during this time was the Holidays so there were Christmas trees and lights. We did a train ride the next morning. It felt like life was a Hallmark movie.
