One of the reasons why we chose Newport is because there is so much to do! Between the ocean related activities, mansions, sports, museums, restaurants, and shopping, we hope you find plenty to do while waiting for the festivities to begin Saturday evening or make a whole weekend out of your time in the area! Get out and enjoy the sea breeze Saturday before the festivities with a 3.5-mile scenic walk along the ocean shoreline, which offers breathtaking views of the water and glimpses of the historic mansions. You can make it as long or short as you'd like, and keep in mind the path is a mix of paved and rocky sections.

If walking isn't your thing, check out the scenic 10-mile coastal drive showcasing Newport's stunning coastline, grand mansions, and natural beauty. Stop by Brenton Point Park along the way to sit by the ocean and watch the activity on the water or some kites fly.
