Kyle and Timythi first met at CMA high school in Detroit, Michigan. He was a big eyed 14 year old walking the hallways and she was the quiet one with a look that said ‘don't come near me.’ They never said much to each other aside from hi and bye. In fact, they had little interest in each other; they were just kids in high school. But, the story doesn't start there. Kyle and Timythi kind’ve hung around each other a lot and didn’t know it. They went to the same church gatherings, the same elementary school (but missed each other by one year), and lived only minutes away from each other. They were so close, but yet so far away. It wasn’t until Kyle mustered up the guts to slide in her DM’s. He said to her these simple words, “Hey Timythi! How are you?” She replied, “I’m good Sammy! How are you?” The next day, they exchanged numbers and he asked her out to the Detroit Jazz Fest at Hart Plaza. Initially she was reluctant, but she made time and met him down there anyway. They walked, talked, and listened to music for hours that night. When he asked her out, she just thought ‘Ok, Sammy wants to hang out, he’s cool.’ But by the end of the night, she was smitten and taken aback by how much of a gentlemen he was. He asked her on a second date to one of his performances and she said, “Yes.” From that day forward they hung out every single weekend until he presented her with her favorite flowers on Thanksgiving night (2018 to be exact) and asked her “Will you be my girl?” And again she said, “Yes!” Kyle and Timythi had only been together for about a year and a half before he moved to LA. They did long distance for over half the relationship before Kyle made a decision that would reunite them forever. He prayed and fasted before asking Timythi’s father for her hand in marriage. In July of 2021, she went to LA to celebrate what she thought was a 30th birthday getaway with her boyfriend. She said she wanted to do a photoshoot. So, being a photographer himself, he made it happen. Little did Timythi know she was taking pictures for her own proposal. He invited her closest friends and one of her cousins to fly down to surprise her for what she thought was the ultimate birthday gift. Later on, everyone went to the beach for the ‘photoshoot.’ He took a couple of pictures before handing the camera off to his brother, Nigel. After shooting for awhile, Kyle chose a pose that allowed him to secretly kneel down on one knee with a ring in his hand. She had no idea what was going on; all she knew was that everyone was boosting her up saying “Awww you look great”, “Now look this way”, “Nice pose.” The next thing she heard was a voice behind her saying, “Baby turn around.” That’s when she saw Kyle on one knee and he asked her “Will you be my wife?” Well, you know what she said… “Yes!!”
