Our chapter started on the island of Mallorca back in 2014. It may sound romantic, but the reality is that we met in the not so glamorous Magaluf where Jack was living it up working as a rep for a season and Ellie was visiting on a girls’ holiday. Two worlds collided, and well, the rest is history. Little did we know, we had actually attended the same high school, but our paths didn't cross back then. That's probably for the best as we're not convinced that our story would have had the same ending if we had. Our mums, Fran & Ki like to remind us that there is footage of us both performing in the school talent show, but let's not go into the details of that. We’ve been pretty much inseparable since that summer. We've managed to get through our years at separate University's, questionable student decisions, our first 'proper' adult jobs, and all the chaos that comes with your twenties - somehow coming out the other side still liking each other! We survived five years in the coldest flat on the planet, got through lockdown together, turned 30 and bought our first home, which just so happens to be round the corner from both sets of our parents (intentional or not… we’ll let you decide). Now, you'll often find us enjoying an evening together at home with a jigsaw, a glass of red wine, and an episode (or three) of Game of Thrones. When we’re not in full hermit mode, we love to travel and we’ve been lucky enough to visit some amazing places together. Inter-railing around Europe, Thailand, Bali, Cyprus, Portugal, Japan… and of course, Mallorca - where we first met and now one of our favourites to return to. After 10 years, and with a little encouragement (pressure) from family & Ellie, Jack finally proposed in the Lake District in February 2024. He successfully got down on one knee… but forgot the small detail of putting the ring on Ellie’s finger, so she stepped in to help. And now here we are, getting married and we're so glad you are all going to be part of it.
