Matron of Honor
Bri and Kayla met at cheerleading tryouts in summer of 2002 at Archbishop Spalding HS. They were instant friends and are practically inseparable. She loves Disney, wine, reading, and Harry Potter. Bri put on a fun bachelorette weekend for Kayla and their friends at the end of February and a wonderful bridal shower in March, before the outbreak shenanigans began! She lives in Maryland with her husband and son.
Brian Hatcher
Best Man
Brian met Kayla at the race track through a mutual friend. A year later, he brought Jon out to the track to meet the crew and the rest is history! He is a Chief in the Navy and one of Kayla and Jon's best friends. Brian was able to make it to the wedding ceremony on April 4th and was able to capture photos of the event so Kayla and Jon could share with their friends and family who couldn't make it. Currently, he resides in Maryland.
Kim Hess
Mother of the Bride
Kim is Kayla's mom. She lives in Maryland with her husband, Ken. Besides Kayla, she has a son, Keith. She loves watching soap operas and playing Sudoku word puzzles. Her favorite color is green and she loves to dance.
Ken Hess
Father of the Bride
Ken is Kayla's dad. Originally from Ohio, he currently lives in Maryland with his wife, Kim. He loves to tell corny jokes (and laugh hysterically at them himself), fishing, and reading. He is active in his church and lectures when he can.
Sonja Edwards Mahler
Mother of the Groom
Sonja is Jon's mom. She lives in Georgia with her pup and kitties. Besides Jon, she has a daughter, Lyz. Her hobbies include gardening and crafts. She also loves to read and is active in Kayla's online book club.
John & Elizabeth (Sweetie) Mahler
Father and Stepmom of the Groom
John and Sweetie, while no longer here with us, are forever in our hearts. They were both full of life, love, and laughter (and full of jokes on John's part)! They are missed deeply.
