We swiped right on Tinder one night, both looking for something more than just a casual fling. Our conversations flowed easily, full of laughter and shared interests. But just as things were heating up, Bekah ghosted Dakota. Life got busy, and the connection faded. A year and a half later, Bekah was sitting at a homestead with a friend, drawing flowers and other wildlife, and posted a photo of a rose she had drawn on her Snapchat story. An hour or so later a message popped up from Dakota. Bekah asked her friend Riley if she should answer it or just ignore it. Riley said "sure why not?" and Bekah opened her message to find Dakota had asked if she'd be willing to design a tattoo for him. Our conversation picked up right where we left off, talking about shows and random tattoo ideas. Dakota asked Bekah to go on a date to Symposium where he did most of the talking. He thought it went poorly and told Bekah to text when she made it home, so Bekah messaged him back after the night was done and agreed to a second date, but it would have to wait a month until she was recovered from surgery. He agreed, and on our second date we went back to Symposium with one of Dakota's friends Eli. At the end of that night Dakota told Bekah, "I'm gonna marry you someday you just don't know it yet." She laughed but here we are almost 6 years later, getting married. She still hasn't drawn that tattoo design for him.
