What's the weather like in Buena Vista?

Answer

Expect warm days and cool to chilly evenings. This time of year, the valley — where we will be — is unlikely to experience precipitation.

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside during golden hour, followed by an indoor reception.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Come dance the night away in cocktail attire. Suits, slacks, button-downs and midi or floor-length dresses are all great options. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing all white. 👰🏻‍♀️

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Free parking is available and abundant onsite. The road is a bit bumpy for the last mile to the venue, but totally passable by passenger rental vehicles.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transportation given the large area. If you're having concerns, reach out and we can try to connect you with someone you may know. For our local folks, you may be able to carpool from the Denver Metro!

What airport should I fly into and should I rent a car?

Answer

Denver International Airport and Colorado Springs Airport are the closest and most reliable options. From there, it is still a 2.5-hour drive to Buena Vista. We recommend renting a car and soaking up the sights along the way! If transportation becomes an issue, please let us know, we're happy to help.

I'm coming from sea level, what do I need to know?

Answer

Buena Vista is at 7,960 feet, which is considered high altitude. You may find you are tired, easily out of breath and alcohol will likely have a stronger effect. It is a good idea to give yourself time to adjust. General tips: drink more water, eat smaller and more frequent meals, slow down on the alcohol and if you have altitude concerns, you may want to spend a night at a lower altitude — like Denver — before coming to Buena Vista.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes. Please drink responsibly, especially given the aforementioned altitude. 😉

Where should I bring or send a gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! (Seriously.) If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
