Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will be held at one location and includes a mixture of indoors and outdoors. For the ceremony, we will be outdoors on a grassy lawn with shade from trees on the property. Following the ceremony, our cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors with A/C.

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

We have arranged for shuttle service between the venue and South Beach Resort. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes from 2:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Please note, Uber service is very spotty near our venue, so we recommend making taxi arrangements if you are staying somewhere other than South Beach Resort.

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes! Free parking is available on-site. Cars may be left overnight as long as they are picked up by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 18.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive by 3:00 p.m. to park and find a seat so the ceremony may begin at 3:30 p.m.

What should I wear?

Answer

The recommended attire for our wedding is beach formal. We encourage you to wear sundresses, suits in lighter hues and sunglasses (if needed!). Please keep in mind, the ceremony will be held on the lawn in mid-July, so please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear and dress to stay comfortable with the potential heat. The bridal party will be wearing dusty blue dresses and dark blue suits.

Are children welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not have young children present. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding adults-only and take the opportunity to let your hair down and dance the night away with us!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track with our venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us at meekthenixons@gmail.com with any questions!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a room block at South Beach Resort which is 7 minutes away from the venue and provides shuttle service. Additional rooms can be booked at Country Inn & Suites by Raddison which is 15 minutes away from the venue. There are AirBNBs and VRBOs in the area, but they book quickly since Port Clinton is an extremely popular summer destination. Make sure to reserve your accommodations soon!

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is June 21st. We kindly ask you to mail back your RSVP using the enclosed envelope that is pre-addressed and includes a postage stamp.
