Sweetwater Tavern

This is where John and Emily had their first date. If you go, we recommend getting Ozzie rolls as a starter, and the chocolate flourless waffle for dessert. Emily's order is the Monterey Salad with grilled chicken, and John's order is the Wood Grilled Chicken Breast.

Leesburg Historic District

John and Emily have gone on many dates in downtown Leesburg. Our favorite spots are Goosecup (coffee), Sidebar (brunch and lunch), and King Street Oyster Bar (happy hour and dinner). This is 15-20 minutes from the church.

Leesburg Premium Outlets

The Leesburg Outlet Mall has over 100+ stores with great deals, and is great for walking around. The Outlet Mall is 20 minutes from the church.

Trader Joe's

If you don't have a Trader Joe's near you, we highly recommend you stop by while you're in town! They have wonderful seasonal snacks and drinks. Emily recommends the flower-shaped chocolate mousse cakes, the "Power of Red" fruit drink, the chili lime rolled tortilla chips, the plantain chips, and the cotton candy grapes. It is 23 minutes from the church.

Bear's Den Scenic Lookout

Bear's Den Overlook is one of Emily's favorite hiking spots in the area! You can park at the bottom of the mountain for a 1.7-1.9 mile round-trip hike, or you can drive up to the campground at park there for a quick, 0.5 mile hike. The views are amazing! This hike is 15 minutes from the church.

Bluemont Vineyard

Beautiful mountain views overlooking rural Loudoun County! This is 18 minutes from the church.

Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink

Emily grew up going to this roller rink, and it is within 5 minutes of the church! Purcellville Baptist Church, where John and Emily attend church and will be getting married, used to meet in this building.
