We’re heading to Sorrento, Italy in August 2026 to say “I do.” The weekend centers on our Rehearsal Dinner, Friday, August 21, 2026, and our Wedding Day, Saturday, August 22, 2026. We met in a co-ed indoor soccer league under humming lights and too much competitive energy. David swears it was love at first sight. Amanda calls it “excellent timing (for David).” “Good instincts, Dad,” adds Bubby. “BALL!!” shouts Busty. Who won that first match? Depends who you ask. What’s certain: David won Amanda’s attention - and kept showing up with the persistence of a coach prepping for a cup final. THE PROPOSAL On a hike at Lake Del Valle, with two bulldogs supervising, David got on one knee. Tears were shed (or maybe that was Bubby drooling). Either way - the bulldogs approved. WHO'S IN CHARGE? We love sports, the outdoors, family, friends - and yes, our bulldogs, who insist the pack stays together and that we hike side by side (and that Dad surrenders 94% of his side of the bed every night). WHY SORRENTO? We’re getting married in Sorrento, Italy, to honor Amanda’s heritage and her 102-year-old Granny. Think lemon groves, sea breezes, and a long-overdue celebration. “Italy, family and friends, and treats. Sounds like my kind of party,” says Bubby. “But who throws the ball while everyone is gone?!” asks Busty. THE BIG DAY We’re most excited to bring everyone together to celebrate love, laughter, and making some wonderful new memories. The bulldogs expect photos, and maybe a future vow renewal with VIP (Very Important Pups) seating.
