Tyler and Jessica met on the dating app, Hinge, in the early Spring of 2020. Her photos caught his eye, especially one lifting weights. Their first exchange was when Tyler commented on her profile, calling her a "stud". This isn't Mr-Smooth-101, but she entertained his remark. In Jessica fashion, she responded with, "what are 5 things you value most in life?" She stood out immediately. Their initial dialogue came during the early stages of Covid-19. Despite restaurants being shut down and first-date spots being closed, they were resourceful and scheduled many FaceTime dates. A turning point for Jessica occurred during an early morning shift as a nurse at Virginia Mason. It was a rare off-day for Tyler, a great opportunity to sleep in. Much to her surprise, she received a "good morning" text right at the time she told Tyler she would be beginning her shift. He had set an alarm so that he could wish her well before a big day. That subtle gesture made a big impact. Their first in-person date was at his condo. With all the Netflix murder documentaries, she was terrified; he was excited. Weeks of dialogue made him feel like he already knew her. When she arrived, she was hesitant; he gave her a big hug, picking her up off the ground. She really adored his light and energy. He was captivated by her intentionality and drive. He is outgoing and full of life. She is sweet and grounded. Their difference are a perfect compliment. Their similarities were centered around important life pillars. Tyler watched as Jessica passed her DNP program at University of Washington to become a nurse practitioner. Jessica was there for every step of Tyler leaving the golf industry and embarking on the levels of becoming a Financial Planner. They've dealt with abrupt changes in family dynamics, loss of loved ones, hard days, and more. Always finding ways to push forward together. Their pace has been a beautiful slow burn, creating a strong foundation to build a beautiful life together. Tyler remembers bringing Jessica to his sister's home up in North Bend for the first time. Watching her interact with his family was so telling. A close family friend once said, "when you talk to Jessica, you feel like you're the only person in the world". She has a way of making everyone feel heard and seen. She is so thoughtful and caring. Another time, he left the family lake property early, to head back to the golf course for work. She stayed with Jenna, the family, and a handful of friends. It wasn't a test, but if it was, she passed with flying colors. Everyone adored her. Tyler met the Medrala family in a high-dose Polish fashion. It was Mother's day at Ina's home and to say it was loud was an understatement. Such a wonderful family, he immediately bonded with them and enjoyed coming over often for dinners, walks, movie nights, and more. Since the early years, they have meshed their lives together and enjoyed an abundance of experiences. Biking thousands of miles. Moving into his Condo. Buying their home together. Hosting family, friends, and loved ones. Seeing John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Kasey Musgrave's, and Bryan Adams. Going on walks, washing their cars, sharing music, working out together, home cooked meals, learning golf, time at the Lake, planning trips, dominating Facebook Marketplace, talking future, and enjoying each day.
