Delicious (and large) cinnamon rolls in a variety of flavors! These are a Medlock family favorite.
Our favorite coffee in Hot Springs.
A cute coffee shop on the downtown strip.
This cupcake shop was featured on Food Network (Cupcake Wars) and for good reason - the cupcakes are delicious.
Food & Wine Magazine's best pizza in Arkansas
This is an old haunt of Matt's from his high school years - don't skip on the milkshakes!
Fresh ingredient, hand-tossed pizzas and beer brewed in the Reinheitsgebot tradition (water, hops, malt, and yeast ONLY).
Another Medlock family favorite, this pizza joint is hidden right off of the downtown strip and features a charming outdoor patio area.
The 42nd President of the United States of America had this barbecue flown into the White House frequently during his time in office.
A historic bathhouse that's been converted into a brewery and restaurant, this is the only brewery in a US National Park and the only brewery in the world to utilize thermal spring water in their (fantastic) beer!
A local favorite, Taco Mama is a casual, from-scratch Mexican kitchen.
Their pancakes are bigger than their plates - so they recommend you cut a whole in the center, fill it with syrup, and eat it from the inside out.
A Hadley Medlock recommendation, these were her favorite tacos from her time in Hot Springs.
Arkansas oldest continually operating bar (est. 1905) and a watering hole for the likes of Al Capone and Babe Ruth during their times in Hot Springs.
A local distillery focused primarily on moonshine (other alcohol available) with a large seating area and games.
Great views of Bathhouse Row, cocktails and bites.
A historic bathhouse that's been converted into an art gallery.
A historic bathhouse that's been converted into a visitor center and museum for Hot Springs National Park - this museum provides a window into the past, showcasing what the bathhouses looked like during their operation in the 20th century
These are the remaining functional bathhouses - treat yourself to a spa day at either one! The Buckstaff offers a more traditional experience while the Quapaw offers a more updated and luxurious experience.
A historic and architectural centerpiece of downtown Hot Springs, it has hosted the likes of U.S. Presidents (e.g. Franklin Roosevelt), baseball legends (e.g. Babe Ruth), celebrities (e.g. Barbara Streisand), and famous American gangsters (e.g. Al Capone). Stop in for a meal at the restaurant, a cocktail at the bar, or just to explore.
Hot Springs was a favorite vacation spot of numerous American gangsters, including Al Capone. Stop by this museum to learn about how they spent their time in spa city.
These two scenic overlooks should be especially beautiful in June! Enjoy the Mountain Pagoda for free (as Matt often did after a long hike around Hot Springs Mountain in high school) or pay a small fee to ascend the Mountain Tower and overlook the Ouchita Mountains.
Have you ever seen that green bottle of $6 water at Whole Foods? Surprise - that's a Hot Springs special. Learn about the history of Mountain Valley Spring Water and why it is America's most awarded spring water.
Home to the Arkansas Derby and one of the premier Thoroughbred (horse) racetracks since 1904, Oaklawn underwent a $100M renovation in 2021. Races run Thursday through Sunday, but the casino, resort and spa, and dining are open all week.
A favorite lake of Arkansans, you can enjoy various water activities here (and trust us - it will be warm enough to enjoy them unlike in San Francisco!)
A beautiful and massive (210 acres) botanical garden owned and operated by the University of Arkansas, this also happens to be the home of Anthony Chapel where we'll be getting married!
Matt's alma mater (and home of the Cyborg Dolphins - don't ask) stands at the end of downtown Hot Springs. While the school's facilities have improved by leaps and bounds since Matt's time there, the haunted 100+ year old hospital (now condemned) that served as his high school home still stands.
